    Hello, bonjour, bienvenidos!

    At some point everyone is supposed to get old and decline in ability. Even baseball players, unless of course they are on steroids. Looking the other way while something unnatural is happing is the surest way to disaster. Companies that keep producing endlessly growing profit streams (Enron, Worldcom ) on a steady diet of acquisitions is not supposed to happen. The housing boom fueled by increasingly exotic financial products. Now doom and gloom is probably not the best recipe for holiday cheer, but as you enjoy your holidays, look underneath the surface and make sure that it is something natural and not some steroid enhanced gerbil running at full speed to keep everything running. Results are nice to admire, but only if they don't come with asterisks.
